Check out day - sad to leave this beautiful place. I stayed here 25 years ago with my oldest that is now 32. Brought his little brother back this year. Hopefully it wont take 25 years to get back here again. Here’s to more adventures.

Being folk from Minnesota we didn’t know what to expect when we came down yonder to this here state called South Dakota. With little expectations, we came in with open minds and were blown away. Thank you for providing us with comfort and cleanliness - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A group of us came up from Midland Texas to go to Sturgis. For many of us it was our first trip there. We LOVED it! We love this cabin too and everyone we met here. Cant wait to come back!

Dear Birchlodge, We had so much fun at this campground. It felt like I was dreaming. So fun here! My 2 brothers and 2 sisters wish we could move here but were just here for the 4th of July. I just cant say how fun it is here. I really hope to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The kids couldn’t get enough of the creek and playground, The adults loved the picnic area. Only thing that was missed was the campfire. Big kids also enjoyed the hiking trails. We had so much fun and memories that will last a life time were made here. Cant wait to come back!

Grandma Anderson! and 6 boys!  We had a wonderful time at your little cabin, there was not a thing I didn't need! Next time I will pack way lighter.  The boys had so much fun playing by the creek and fishing the 2 pounds we were directed too.  We missed the fire a lot but totally understand the reason behind it.  We will be back in the future.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful vacation in South Dakota.  Wickiup was very peaceful and we are so glad we stayed here.  The Devil's Bathtub trail, Devil's Tower, Badlands and Black Hills exploring were wonderful experiences and we hope to come again.  The kids loved tubing in the creek and walking to the general store for snacks.  Thank you Starla and Jackie for all your help and advice on what trails to explore and answering questions about accommodations.   We hope to be back!

Our family of 6 stayed here and had a wonderful time.  The staff here was very friendly and accommodating.    The kids were kept busy and enjoyed the sandbox, playground and the creek.    We also enjoyed the fires at night and made s’mores.  We only stayed here two nights and wish we were able to stay here longer.  If you're looking for a place to eat,  the Cheyenne Crossing on the top of the hill has phenomenal food.  If you're looking for other ideas of what to do, the staff will eagerly assist you.  Thank you once again we will surely be returning year after year.

Thank you Jackie, Les and Pete! We enjoyed our stay here tremendously!  We are proud to be apart of the Wickiup Family.  We look forward to visiting every other year.  We have met the most amazing people here!  We quickly became friends and joined their group.  We started each day eating a fantastic breakfast together.  We all contributed a few bucks to feed the group.  During the day, we rode our motorcycles thru the spectacular parks, stopped to see the amazing monuments, stopped in some really fun towns to eat and to do some major shopping.  Squeezed in some fishing.  Caught a couple Brook Trout.  Beautiful fish!  We exchanged contact info with new friends. We will exchange photos and videos.  We are already planning our next adventure with our friends.  We are all from different states spread through out the Great USA.  We really look forward to coming back here.  It is beautiful here.

Great place! We had a lot of fun.  The Adams house museum in Deadwood was wonderful.  Also, the "Trial of Jack McCall" at the Masonic Temple was fun.  Great for kids, they get to be part of the jury.  Pizza Lab in Central City is nice for families.  Video Games, skill games and good pizza.
