After a 12 hour road trip, I finally made it to my favorite place that calls to my soul. The Black Hills and my favorite place to stay Wickiup Cabins. I got to see Les and Starla and catch up after a couple years without a visit. I used to go every year for several years streak and missed it and the great people terribly. It was so good for my soul. I highly and will always recommend them!

Love this little cabin. Celebrated our anniversary and Starla recommended this cabin to us saying it was one of her favorites. I was so happy when we walked in. It was just perfect and exactly what we wanted for our little getaway. Thank you so much for all the great suggestions. They were a hit!

This was our first time here during the Rally. Actually our 1st time here in The Black Hills. We had a great time riding the hills and exploring. After a long day of riding it was great to come here and relax away from all of the craziness. This cabin is home and is perfect for a couple. Thanks and we will be back!

Found this place by chance. Saw it was booked but called anyways. Glad I did. My wife always wanted to stay in a cabin and these are the best. Had a great time with John and Starla and riding the hills. Will be back next year!

We absolutely loved staying at Wickiup. It was life changing for us. Our stay was way to short and the next one will be longer. It was the best place we have ever stayed. So relaxing and beautiful. The cabin was so cute and was just enough for the two of us. The sound of the stream was awesome too. We did a lot of site seeing but loved coming back to the cabin for a quiet meal together (steaks on the grill, awesome!). We fell in love with Starla (and her little helper), she was fantastic and we feel we have made an incredible new friend. Praying our future with our new friends becomes more.

We have come to this area for the funeral of my Uncle Richard Fort. His retirement life has been spent trying to preserve the beauty of the canyon. I hope his hard work in his lifetime has been successful! As a child I spent summer vacations in the canyon and fell in love with this area. I worked our summer at Rushmore as a college student. We never had stayed here! - a very special time for us! You have a wonderful little "camp" here! We wish you the best!

Had a wonderful week touring the Black Hills. So much to see. Sturgis, Deadwood and Lead are great towns. What a great Rally week. I am so glad we decided to spend the week in the cabin. So peaceful here. The creek is beautiful. Such a nice visit for our 30th wedding anniversary!! If we make it back this way, I would enjoy staying here again.

We read a review once that said they would be back. We agree and have been back many times over the past 10 years. Wickiup is a special place with special people. Les and Jackie, owners, make you feel at home and like part of the family. Starla, the manager, is as competent as she is good looking. Located on the banks of a bubbling stream in the Black Hills Wickiup is fairytale. Don't think twice about staying at Wickiup but realize that you will be stepping back in time. The cabins are rustic, unique and romantic. But book early especially for holidays and bike week. We already booked next year!

Over the 40 years I have stayed in all the old cabins and one of the 3 new cabins. As a couple, we have now stayed in Stagestop 3 times. The last time we were here for a heavy snowstorm (In September) for which we were not prepared. This time we came prepared and instead we enjoyed the best Fall weather that the Hills had to offer. When time permits, we will scour our unorganized photos and see what we can find of the Wickiup we have known and loved with our family. Deadwood Jam and Buddy Guy - FANTASTIC!

Olsen Family Reunion. Great location for a Family Reunion. Kids loved the creek and the tube rental. Cabins are awesome and we didn't realize how cold is got at night. Thank you!
