Dear Everyone - Just wanted to let you know how enchanting your resort is. From the chilly early morning walks to your delightful sun shining afternoons, we could not have enjoyed our couple adventure any better. From Chris catching trout out of your cabin side stream to Paul taking his much needed afternoon naps, our stay was filled with hundreds of pleasant memories. The wildlife was spectacular. The bugling elk really got us excited. Cozy warm nights in the cabin topped off our days of exploring this beautiful country together. All the best!

We were in South Dakota for a family reunion and most of the others were staying in a hotel in Deadwood. We wanted more of a nature aspect. This cabin was equipped with just what we needed. Good location for what we wanted to see, friendly people and Starla was very helpful at the time of making the reservation. We would love to stay here again!!

Sturgis Rally - Great times! Lots of fun at campfire every night and riding during the days. Cabin was nice and good spot! Warning - stay away from the Buzz Balls!

Our last day of 5 fun and restful days here. Beautiful setting and sweet historic cabins - loved the sleeping porches. And you have all been so friendly and helping - making us feel at home. The kids thought tubing down the creek was grand - just couldnt get enough of it. Thank you so much for everything!

We had a wonderful 3 days at the Ole Pioneer Cabin.  No TV, No problem.  We played poker until the wee hours.  The night air on the front porch was great.  Slept like babies.  Nice, friendly atmosphere.  Thanks for a memorable time!

We had fun in the Black Hills.  We had fun ATVing with Black Hills Off-Road Rentals and touring Deadwood.  The cabin was very nice and relaxing.  We had a fun time! Now back to the Twin Cities.

Wow! This was a wonderful unexpected surprise. We were up for Sturgis Bike Week and loved coming “HOME” to a cozy warm cabin and the fun new friends, with great stories and laughter around the awesome fire pit! We will come back and stay again and also recommend this to all of our family (about 1000 of us total) and our friends. A great escape into the beauty of nature. Much love and gratitude!

This is our first time in SD and our first real family vacation! My cousin had his wedding here on 6-30-2018 and it was beautiful. Was so amazing to have almost the whole extended family together. Little by little everyone went home on different days. Was sad to see them all leave but also nice to have some R.R. We have made so many memories from hiking to Devil’s Bathtub to seeing South Dakota’s National Monuments. Oh, and the tornado that hit Friday night a couple miles down on Spearfish Canyon! A huge thanks to Starla, Les and his wife for being the most awesome hosts ever! Wish we didn’t have to leave, would stay another week if work allowed us the time off! But we will be back in the future for sure! P.S. I will always be thankful for Les margaritas!

Preparing to head out for one last adventure at Needles Highway and then back to Minnesota. The fly fishing for trout was a BLAST! Nothing is more beautiful than this canyon! You were all so friendly and helpful! We will be back…..

Tornado hunter tour - we stopped here for 2 nights while storm chasing. This was a nice change from hotel stays. Adorable cabins and very friendly staff. Our crew is from Saskatchewan, Canada!
